Pathways Not Palaces
Updated: Dec 4, 2019
If you want to create something that will last, you're better off constructing a road than a building. While roads get torn up and repaved, they almost never get moved once they are in place. Don't believe me? Compare Boston in 1775 to today.
Houses, apartments, shopping malls, all get torn down or rebuilt when they reach the end of their usable lives.
If you want to achieve permanence, create a path for people to follow not a palace for people to admire.
